In 2006, Nina Tanhofer and Žiga Hrček, former national freestyle windsurfing champions, founded the Quiksilver Windsurf School with a clear vision: to share their passion for this extraordinary sport with as many people as possible.
Today, we proudly look back as a team on more than 200 completed camps across over 20 destinations worldwide. What began as a personal passion has grown into a unique professional windsurf school that now stands at the crossroads of an active lifestyle and a strong, connected windsurfing community. Our team of professional instructors and skilled videographers remains true to its mission: sharing knowledge through a personal approach and modern teaching techniques.

Our beginner windsurfing courses are designed for absolute first-timers as well as self-taught surfers who may have practiced years ago and wish to refresh their knowledge or correctly upgrade their technique. No previous experience is required, and there are no age limits for windsurfing; the only prerequisite is that you are a confident swimmer.

Course Content
Students systematically master all the fundamentals, from safe equipment handling to basic sailing and independently returning to the starting point:
- Rigging & Wind Basics: learn how to assemble your gear and understand the essentials of wind direction and safety
- Uphauling & Correct Stance: master the proper body positioning and how to lift the sail from the water
- Sailing Upwind & Downwind: learn how to steer and navigate in different directions relative to the wind
- Basic Maneuvers: Jibe (turning with the wind) and Tack (turning against the wind)
- Beach Start: learning how to start sailing directly from the shore
The course duration is 2 hours per day, 4 days per week. Each session includes theory lessons, followed by on-water practice supervised by a professional instructor and cameraman. To ensure rapid progress, every course is complemented by a detailed video analysis.
Advanced windsurfing courses are designed for experienced sailors looking to break through their learning plateau and execute maneuvers with greater speed and precision. The program focuses on high-performance sailing, power jibe and other jibe variations and technical mastery. The prerequisites for joining the advanced group are confident planing in footstraps and a flawless water start.

The primary objective of the advanced program is to master the planing jibe (power jibe), while the rest of the curriculum is tailored to the individual goals of the participants:
- Planing Refinement: optimizing body stance to achieve maximum speed and stability while planing
- Mastering the fast tack
- Power jibe
- Jibe Variations: advanced maneuvers, including the duck jibe, laydown jibe, slam jibe, carve 360 ...
- Chop-hop: mastering the fundamentals of jumping on flat water surfaces.
- Light-Wind Tricks: Developing better sail control through maneuvers such as the helicopter tack and upwind 360.
The course consists of 2 hours of coaching per day, 4 days per week. Instruction combines shore-based theory using with intensive on-water sessions in small, structured groups of 6 to 8 students. Each group is supported by a tandem of an instructor and a cameraman to ensure personalized feedback. To accelerate progress, every session includes detailed video analysis.
The course includes technical workshops - in-depth coaching on rigging and trimming personal gear, travel logistics, and basic equipment repairs.

Prerequisites for the wave group are confident planing in footstraps and a flawless water start.

- Wave Safari: at select locations (e.g., Morocco), we use a mobile windsurf center to explore various spots for optimal conditions.
